Assisted living facilities are designed with the intent to create comfortable, safe, and secure living environments for the elderly, disabled, and those needing 24 Hr. around the clock care. Because of the group living aspect, the design intent for assisted living facilities lies in the goal that private and individual space is respected, taking in consideration that an individuals independence, privacy, and safety are important and must correlate directly with proper care and service of which the building and care takers provide. These elements shall be a direct reflection of the building design concept and the spaces created whether interior or exterior. The building will flourish when proper services can be provided on an administrative and private level, while maintaining beautiful and harmonious spaces for the residents.
